On that occasion, Sofia traveled to New York to receive her award \u201con behalf of all Venezuelans.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div><div  class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion_builder_column_1_2  fusion-one-half fusion-column-last 1_2\"  style='margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:20px;width:48%'>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper\" style=\"background-position:left top;background-repeat:no-repeat;-webkit-background-size:cover;-moz-background-size:cover;-o-background-size:cover;background-size:cover;\"  data-bg-url=\"\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"fusion-text\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El Fondo Venezolano Americano para las Artes (VAEA) extiende su m\u00e1s sentido p\u00e9same a la familia, amigos y a la comunidad art\u00edstica, por la p\u00e9rdida de Sof\u00eda \u00cdmber, periodista y notable promotora de las artes en Venezuela y Am\u00e9rica Latina. \u00cdmber, fue condecorada con la <a href=\"http:\/\/vaearts.org\/US\/archives\/2807\">Medalla P\u00e1ez de las Artes<\/a> en el a\u00f1o 2014, galard\u00f3n anual de nuestra instituci\u00f3n que premia la excelencia en el \u00e1mbito de las artes.
