As part of the White Lights Festival<\/a>, the Venezuelan choir performed at the Alice Tully Hall a repertoire of spiritual music from Spanish-language cultures throughout history, ranging from Renaissance Spanish motets to the villancicos and cantigas that crossed the Atlantic with the conquistadors in the 1500s, to contemporary South American works.<\/p>\n
