As a fashion designer, her contribution of timeless and elegant creations has been universally recognized and admired; As an icon, her beauty and personal aesthetic have been inspiration for many photographers including: Andy Warhol, Robert Mapplethorpe, Jos\u00e9 Sigala, Victor Skrebneski, Annie Leibovitz, and Mario Testino.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. and Mrs. Herrera share a passion for art and philanthropy and actively support many charities and noble causes.<\/p>\n<p>It is acknowledging these philanthropic spirit that Reinaldo and Carolina Herrera, exemplary citizens of both countries joined VAEA as Gala Chairs to support the international recognition to the career of Sofia Imber and our mission towards U.S. and Venezuelan culture.<\/p>\n<p>Sofia Imber is one of the most outstanding personalities in the history of Venezuelan art and journalism, being a notable advocator for the arts in Venezuela and throughout Latin America.<\/p>\n<p>Imber\u2019s contributions to the arts as a journalist, art promoter, educator and philanthropist have made her an ideal recipient of VAEA\u2019s highest award.
