\nVenezuela-born pianist and composer\u00a0Antonio Mazzei\u00a0<\/b>assembles a group of master jazz musicians, based in\u00a0New York City, to perform his original works and\u00a0arrangements on Thursday, July 30th at the\u00a0Cornelia\u00a0Street\u00a0Cafe in the heart of the Greenwich Village.\u00a0Mazzei first gained recognition for his\u00a0versatility and virtuosity after working closely with some of the top artists in South America. Of special note was his 3-year collaboration in a\u00a0piano duo project with Austrian-born pianist Gerry Weil.\u00a0Antonio has been featured on more than 15\u00a0recordings as a sideman, and has released two albums\u00a0under his own name:\u00a0“Contrastes” and “Antonio Mazzei Trio +1”.\u00a0He attended the very prestigious program at\u00a0The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, graduating\u00a0in 2014 with honors.<\/p>\n
