Caracas Earthquakes Artists Relief Program

Case for Support

A professional fundraising document for donors, foundations, corporations and cultural partners supporting the Caracas Earthquakes Artists Relief Program.

Executive Summary

Restoring creativity, rebuilding lives and preserving cultural heritage.

The Caracas Earthquakes Artists Relief Program is an emergency cultural recovery initiative established by VAEA to assist artists and cultural workers whose lives, studios, tools, archives and income have been affected by the recent earthquakes in Venezuela.

For many artists, a studio is not only a workspace. It is the foundation of a livelihood, a place of memory and the infrastructure that allows creative work to continue.

The Need

Artists face losses that are professional, personal and cultural.

  • Studios, workshops and creative spaces may be damaged or unusable.
  • Artworks, archives, instruments and equipment may be lost or severely affected.
  • Income may be interrupted precisely when recovery costs rise.
  • Cultural memory can be permanently damaged if archives and works are not preserved.

VAEA will support eligible applicants through documented review and emergency assistance.
