Launching their second disc, Los Crema Paraiso delivers a musical experience of full-force joropo beats coupled with electric and psychedelic sounds.
Hot on the heals of two phenomenal shows headlined by Linda Briceño y Luisito Quintero, Guataca Nights New York proudly presents the esteemed Venezuelan musicians Neil Ochoa and José Luis Pardo from Los Crema Paraíso, promising an incredible show packed with full-bodied beats and tropical essence. The “new sounds of Venezuelan music” has descended on New York City once again, delivering on its promise to bring those coveted exotic Latino rhythms to Subrosa (from the owners of Blue Note) on March 24 at 8pm.
Los Crema Paraíso’s eclectic beat structure has been meticulously crafted with influences from the likes of Aldemaro Romero, Noel Petro, Tom Jobim, Medeski, Martin and Wood, Pink Floyd, Freddy Reyna, Ali Aguero, and The Police. Its music combines the complex rhythms of traditional Venezuelan sounds with the universal traits of jazz, rock, funk, and Latin groove, while peppering compositions with electonic beats and further molding them into the Venezuelan genre of world music.
On the eve of the launch of their second disc, Los Crema Paraíso—José Luis Pardo (Guitarra) y Neil Ochoa (drums), accompanied by Bambam Rodríguez (bass)—brings these extraordinary results to the public at Guataca Nights New York. It promises to be an explosive musical experience where joropo, seasoned with electronic beats, plays out in full with the vocals of Carol C. from the group SiSe.
