5X5 ACARIGUA – NEW YORK
Cultural exchange experience and visual arts exhibition
A visual arts exhibition curated by the American artist and curator Juana Valdes, which broad together five artists from Acarigua and 5 artists from New York. The first phase of 5X5 Acarigua-New York took place at The Museo de Arte Acarigua-Araure in 2004. In this occasion the American artists and the curator traveled to Acarigua for several days and interacted with the local artists and the community.
At the end of 2006 5X5 Acarigua-New York traveled to New York and was shown at the CSV Cultural Center at the east village for over a month.
