Artist Statement
I am an artist working in the mediums of photography, installation and sculpture. My work explores mythology, fiction and history set against a backdrop of post-industrial ruins and detritus. My practice begins with research and involves equal parts travel to sites of interest to photograph and collect (physical artifacts and documents from existing archives), and intense focus in the self-contained contexts created in the studio. Recently my practice has involved making books, fabricating large installations, and exhibiting these installations with photographic works extracted from the books.
