“A Celebration of Music and Dance” – features a collaboration between The Simon Bolivar National Youth Choir from Venezuela and the Limon Dance Company. Founded in 2006 by Maestro José Antonio Abreu, the choir was formed to create a high level choral group integrated by young singers from “El Sistema“. Featuring songs by Thompson, Carrillo and Whitacre, as well as Venezuelan composers Antonio Estevez, Simon Diaz and Luis Laguna among others. The second half will highlight Zoltan Kodaly’s “Missa Brevis In Tempore Belli” in collaboration with the legendary Limon Dance Company, directed by Carla Maxwell.
