Water People Theater, two times ACE Award winner, NYC, is proud to present MUSAS as part of the 19th annual New York International Fringe Festival, FringeNYC.
An extraordinary encounter between two icons of Contemporary Art, Mexican Painter FRIDA KAHLO and American Poet SYLVIA PLATH, in which they share the most intimate and passionate moments of their lives. The play is an encounter that never happened in reality. The audience confronts the intense experiences of these women in the same space. They will find biographical details and references of their lives, but above all, their relationship with art, love, and death. The play will reveal pieces of their paths marked by a fatal destiny.

REBECA ALEMÁN as FRIDA KAHLO / MÓNICA STEUER as SYLVIA PLATH
Musician & Composer SAMUEL OCEAN
“…The performances are excellent. As Kahlo, Rebeca Alemán is a whirlwind of energy, definitely the dominant personality, contrasted with Mónica Steuer’s Plath, played as a somewhat wan, lost soul. The actors embrace the choices they make, character-wise, and present wholly believable people. Great performances highlight entertaining…” Joy Campbell, Chicago Theater Beat.
