Elena Pastor

Elena Pastor is a visual artist with vast experience in the audiovisual field. Social communication graduated in Caracas, documentary filmmaking in Buenos Aires and photography creative studies in Madrid. He has exhibited in Madrid 2015; Almeria, Sao Paulo, Madrid, Caracas, Ciudad Bolivar 2014; collaborations in digital media in BackRoom and Contrapunto 2014-15 ; Photographic talks in Caracas Escuela FotoArte 2010 and TooManyFlash Madrid 2014-16.

As audiovisual producer, her pieces have been screened at Madrid Film Festival 2015, 2014 Chacao Cultural Center, Caracas FimMinuto 2010, 2009 and Celarg Festival ” Reftines ” in Barcelona 2008. Currently, Elena Victoria is developing works that combine photography, audio and craft. Coming soon will participate in two artist residencies in Europe, in Germany and Finland respectively.

Artist Statement

Over time, the poetic image, memory and everyday life. These are ideas and concepts that support the artistic work of Elena Victoria. Develops its projects through an adulterated autobiography. Her artistic productions reflect about the world – space and our position in it; It is the construction of her identity a starting point for experimentation.

 

Elena Victoria es un artista visual con una amplia experiencia en el mundo audiovisual. Estudios en comunicación social en Caracas, cine documental en Buenos Aires y desarrollo de proyectos en Madrid. Ha expuesto en Madrid 2015; Almeria, Sao Pablo, Madrid, Caracas, Ciudad Bolívar 2014; colaboraciones en medios digitales BackRoom y Contrapunto 2014-15; charlas fotográficas en Escuela FotoArte Caracas 2010 y TooManyFlash Madrid 2014-16.

Como realizador audiovisual, sus piezas han sido proyectadas en Festival de Cine de Madrid 2015, Centro Cultural Chacao 2014, Caracas FimMinuto 2010, Celarg 2009 y Festival “Reftines” en Barcelona 2008. Actualmente, Elena Victoria está desarrollando obras que combinan fotografía, audio y vídeo. Próximamente va a participar en dos residencias de artista, Alemania y Finlandia respectivamente.

Declaración del artista

El transcurrir del tiempo, la poética de la imagen, la memoria y la cotidianidad. Estas son ideas y conceptos que apoyan el trabajo artístico de Elena Victoria. Desarrolla sus proyectos a través de una biografía adulterada. Sus producciones artísticas reflexionan acerca del mundo-espacio y nuestra situación en él; siendo la construcción de su identidad un punto de partida para la experimentación
