Artist Statement
My search in art is not only based on abstract composition, studies of form or some acquired aesthetics that help me create beautiful objects. These tools are complements that help me materialize personal experiences, emotions of specific moments, the intangible. That’s why I’m not satisfied with an aesthetic geometric or material formula, instead I preferred the opposite. Being in a comfort zone makes me uncomfortable, I find it creatively limitating because for me, life is not static, it’s overwhelmingly changeable and therefore I can not reflect the contrary, I just want to show and represent always the essence of my soul but with scars. I try to let myself be carried away by the free will and get involved with different materials, in some cases with things that I find and modify, adding, removing, altering forms etc, it just happens, it is a spiritual interconnection that results in an artistic fact.
