Artist Statement
In my work I like to capture the emotion of the moment – be it serene, exciting, sensual, quiet or joyous- my photographic , installations, video/film work are meant to reach out and touch the Heart Strings that connect us all through the work of art to the same core emotions.
I like to work with what I call Textures – be it in people’s faces, in objects or landscapes – that evoke emotional memories, aromas, sensations, experiences that allow us to submerge ourselves in an intimate “Stendhal syndrome” state through visual and physical contact with the work.
Allowing my unconscious to manifest through my work, I hope to touch the unconscious of those who view it and establish a common bond.
