The Reverón Tour
The Reverón Tour Cultural guided visit to New York April 12th – 17th 2007 VAEA supported MOMA’s “Armando Reverón” Exhibition (February 11–April 16, 2007) by bringing a group of Collectors, Art Historians, Critics and Artists to New York. The program included a Lecture on Reverón’s life and work given by renowned Venezuelan art historian and Reverón specialist Peran Erminy, which took place at Sotheby’s Auction House’s New York headquarters.

United States Ambassador Visits MAAA June 13th 2005 Museo de Arte Acarigua-Araure, VAEA’s sister organization in Venezuela, was visited by Ambassador William R. Brownfield in occasion on the opening of Páez Photographed, an exhibition honoring General José Antonio Páez, an independence hero and the symbol of VAEA. Páez Photographed was organized by VAEA.

A private view Visual Arts Exhibition An exhibit showcasing the work of American photographer Herb Ritts and the Venezuelan Photographer Memo Vogeler. This exhibit was shown in a private space in Miami in 1994 and demonstrated the dialog between these artists’ unique views.

Arnold Newman and his Contemporaries Visual Arts Exhibition A mayor exhibit organized by our institution that took place at The Museo de Arte Contemporaneo de Caracas in 1993. During his extensive career, Arnold Newman portrayed many of the great artists of the twentieth century. Many of those artists are part of the permanent collection of The Museo de Arte Contemporaneo de Caracas. Venezuela: The NEXT Generation, Curated by Phyllis Tuchman Visual Arts Exhibition VAEA provided additional support for the exhibition Venezuela: Next Generation, at Baruch College Visual Arts Gallery in November 1990. This exhibit showed the work of 9 painters from Venezuela. This exhibit was organized by the Fundacion Calara and the Banco Mercantil.
